nth term of Ap is
tn = 2n-1
now put n=1,2,3…
so AP is

The AP whose nth term is 2n-1 is 1,3,5,7,9,...

  • The n^{th} term of AP is 2n-1
  • The n^{th} term of an AP is given by the formula,

t_n = a + (n-1)d

where, a is the first term of AP and d is the common difference of AP

  • 2n - 1 = a + nd - d
  • Comparing both sides we get,

2n = nd        (Equation 1)

-1 = a - d         (Equation 2)

Using equation 1

d = 2

  • Substituting the value of d in equation 2 we get.

a = 1

  • Therefore, first term(a) is 1 and common difference(d) is 2.
  • The AP becomes 1,3,5,7,9,....
