Question :- Find the are of a triangle whose base is 11 inches and whose height 16 inches ?

Solution :-

Triangle :--- is a plane figure with three straight sides and three angles.

→ Area of ∆ = 1/2 * Base * Height = 1/2* ab* sinC = 1/2 * bc *sinA = 1/2 * ca* sinB = √( s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) ) [ where s = (a+b+c)/2 ]

given that,

  • Base = 11 inches .
  • Height = 16 inches .

then,

→ Area of ∆ABC = (1/2) * Base * Height

→ Area of ∆ABC = (1/2) * 11 * 16

→ Area of ∆ABC = 11 * 8

→ Area of ∆ABC = 88 inches² (Ans.)
