½(a+b) h

Now by the given formula we can find the area.

So area of ABCF = ½(10+16)3

= 39cm²

And area of FCDE = ½(16+12)5

= 70cm²

At the end,

Area of polygon ABDE = area of ABCF+area of FCDE

= (39+70)cm²

= 109cm²
