Given:-

  • Side of an equilateral triangle is 20 cm.

To find:-

  • Area of the equilateral triangle.
  • Height of the equilateral triangle.

Solution:-

Area of Equilateral triangle = (3/4)a²

→ Area = [(√3/4) × 20 × 20]

→ Area = [√3 × 5 × 20]

Area = 100√3 cm²

Height of Equilateral triangle = [a√3/2]

→ Height = [100√3 × √3/2]

→ Height = [50 × √3 × √3]

→ Height = [50 × 3]

Height = 150 cm

Hence,

  • Area = 100√3 cm²
  • Height = 150 cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Some Formulae

→ Area of square = (side)²

→ Area of rectangle = length × breadth

→ Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

→ Area of parallelogram = base × height

→ Area of Circle = πr²
