Given :-

  • Equilateral triangle whose each side measures 6.4m ( take √3 = 1.73 in each case).

To Find :-

  • Area & height of the equilateral triangle.

Solution :-

As we know that,

Height of equilateral Δ = 3/2 × side

[ Putting values ]

↪ Height of equilateral Δ = √3/2 × 6.4

↪ Height of equilateral Δ = √3 × 3.2

↪ Height of equilateral Δ = 1.73 × 3.2

Height of equilateral Δ = 5.536 m.

Now, we know that,

Area of equilateral Δ = 3/4 × side²

[ Putting values ]

↪ Area of equilateral Δ = √3/4 × (6.4)²

↪ Area of equilateral Δ = √3/4 × 40.96

↪ Area of equilateral Δ = 1.73 × 10.24

Area of equilateral Δ = 17.71152 m².

For information:

  • Area of Δ = ¹/2 × base × height
  • Area of square = (side)²
  • Area of rectangle = Length × Base
  • Area of rhombus = ¹/2 × d1 × d2
  • Area of parallelogram = Base × Height
  • Area of trapezium = ¹/2 × (a + b) × h
