so lets calculate it by pythagoras theorem:

5ˆ2 = 4ˆ2 + xˆ2 (x being missing side)

so xˆ2 = 9

or x = 3 (we choose positive solution as its a length of a side that cannot be -ve)

now we have 1 side = 4, other side = 3

so perimiter = 2*(4+3) - 14.
