Step-by-step explanation:

In the upper figure there are 5square of side 6cm

Area of upper figure = 5×(Area of square)

= 5×(6×6) -------(By the formula of square)

=5×(36)

= 180 cm²

perimeter of upper figure = 4×(Perimeter of square)

= 4×(4×6) ---------(By the formula of square)

=4×(24)

= 48 cm

Explaineation:

In upper figure to calculate there aera there are made 5 square and to calculate the perimeter there is 4 square are made

{(The white line is the perimeter and area is all grey coloured area )} ------(To understand properly)

Answer: area of figure = 120 cm^2

Perimeter of figure= 72 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = length of one side(as all sides are same) * no. Of sides

=6*12

=72 cm or m

Area = First we have to divide this figure so that we can find the area easily.

join the sides as shown in the image.

as opposite sides are equal in a quadrilateral

So,all sides are 6 cm. Hence it is a square.

All sides= 6cm or m

Area of square =4*side

=4*6

=24 cm^2 Or 24 m^2

All squares are equal with side 6cm

Area of 1 square = 24 cm^2

Area of whole figure =no. Of squares * 24

= 5*24
=120 cm^2
