length= 15 cm let breadth be x metre
diagonal = 17 cm

so by applying PGT
l^2+b^2=d^2
225+x^2=289
x^2= 289-225
x^2=64
x=8cm
area = l× b
=15×8
=120 cm^2

perimeter = 2 (l+b)
=2 (15+8)
=2×23
46cm

Answer:

Area = 120m^2 and Perimeter = 46 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the given data, we have to find the area and perimeter of rectangle.

Given that:-

Length = 15 cm  (Length = L;B = Breadth;H = diagonal)

Height = 17 cm

Now,

=>L^2+B^2=H^2

=>(15)^2+B^2=(17)^2

By simplifying it further, we get

=>225+B^2=289

=>B^2=289-225

=>B^2=64

By taking square root on both sides,

=>B=8 cm

So, breadth is 8 cm.

We know that,

Area of rectangle = length \times breadth

=> 15 \times 8

=> 120m^2

Perimeter of reactangle = 2 [ L + B ]

=> 2 [ 15 + 8 ]

=> 2 [ 23 ]

=> 46 cm

Hence, the value of area is 120m^2 and Perimeter is 46 cm
