Find the area and the perimeter of a square whose diagonal is 10 cm long.​

Diagonal of a square=2a</p><p></p><p>where</p><p></p><p>a=side</p><p></p><p>10=2a</p><p></p><p>a=210</p><p></p><p>a=52cm</p><p></p><p>Perimeter of square=4a</p><p></p><p>                                 =4×52</p><p></p><p>                                 =202</p><p></p><p>Therefore side and perimeter of the square is 52 cm and 202 cm</p><p></p><p>

a√2=10

a=10/√2....... eq1

area of square is

 {a}^{2}

a^2= 100/2 {from eq1}

= 50

perimeter of square is

4a

4a= 4 x 10/√2

4= √2 x √2 x √2 x √2

4a = 3√2 x 10

4a= 30√2
