Find the area and the perimeter of the rectangle whose
length is 15 cm and the length of the diagonal is 17 cm.

Breadth of rectangle = square root of diayonal squared - length squared

(Pythagoras Theorem)

b= root of 17 square - 15 squared

= root of 289 -225

= root of 64

b = 8

Area =l × b = 15 × 8 =120 sq.cm.

Perimeter = 2 × (l + b) = 2 × ( 15 + 8) =2×23 = 46 cm.
