Answer:
Suppose in a rectangle ABCD , AC and BD are the diagonals.
We can divide the rectangle into two triangles , Triangle ABC and Triangle ACD.
As it is a rectangle , angle B and angle D will be 90 degree.
So Triangle ABC and Triangle ACD are right angles .
Therefore , AC ^2 = AB^2 + Bc^2
AC = 17 cm
AB = 15 cm
BC^2 = 17^2 - 15^2 = 289-225 = 64
BC = root 64 = 8 cm.
Area = l x b = 15 x 8 = 120 cm^2
Perimeter = 2(l+b) = 2 x ( 15+8)
= 2 x 23 = 46 cm
