Area:

Diameter of the circle=21cm

Radius=21/2cm

Area=πr^2/2=22/7×21/2×21/2×1/2=173.25cm^2

Area of square=21×21=441cm

Therefore,

Area of shaded region= (441-173.25)cm^2= 267.75cm^2

Perimeter:

Perimeter of the shaded region= Perimeter of square + Circumference of semicircle - Side

=(4×21) + (22/7×21/2) - 21

=84+33-21

=96cm
