Find the area angled triangle whose one leg to 5cm and hypotenuse is 13cm​

Given :-

  • Hypothenuse (H) = 13cm
  • Perpendicular (P) = 5cm

To Find :-

  • Area of Triangle

Solution :-

Using Pythagoras theorem :

⟾ (H)² = (P)² + (B)²

⟾ (13)² = (5)² + (Base)²

⟾ 169 = 25 + (Base)²

⟾ 169 - 25 = (Base)²

⟾ 144 = (Base)²

⟾ √144 = Base

12cm = Base

Now,

Applying Area of Triangle :

➞ Area of Triangle = ½ × Base × Height

➞ Area of Triangle = ½ × 12 × 5

➞ Area of Triangle = 6 × 5

➞ Area of Triangle = 30cm²

Thus Area of Triangle is 30cm²
