Step-by-step explanation:

GC = 3.5 cm ( as AB is 3.5cm)

GF= 2cm (as DE is 2cm)

AG= 8cm ( as BC is 8cm)

therefore we get two rectangle i.e  rectangle DEFG ans rectangle ABCG

Area of rectangle DEFG = Length x Breadth

                                         =   9 x 2

                                         =   18 cm sq

Area of rectangle ABCG = Length x Breadth

                                          =   8 x 3.5

                                          =  28 cm sq

Total Area = Area of rectangle DEFG + Area of rectangle ABCG

                 = 18 + 28

                 =  46 cm sq
