Hey mate!
Answer:
Step-by-step:
On the the first figure, there are two small rectangles and one big rectangle if you will see it properly.
So, we will find out the area of two small rectangles first.
So, area of rectangle
= Length × breadth
Now, as I have said there are two rectangles .
So, to find both rectangle area .
We have to do
Now, we have to find out the area of the bigger rectangle.
So,
area = 2.5 × (10+2.5+7)
= 2.5×19.5
= 48.75
Now, the total area of figure (1) will be :
=48.75+15
= 63.75 ans. (1)
Now, again 2nd picture
In the second picture you will see 2 small rectangles and 1 big rectangle.
So first the area of two rectangles are:
= (2×4)×2
= 8×2
= 16cm²
Now, the are of the bigger rectangle will be:
= (8-4)×10
= 4×10
= 40cm²
So, the area of total figure will be:
= 40 + 16
= 56cm² ans.(2)
Hope it is helpful to you.
