if a circle is inscribed in a square then it's sides will be equal to the diameter of the circle

it means that the radius of the circle is 12cm.

then, area of circle = π(r)^2

= π (12)^2

= π × 144

= 144π cm^2.

hene, area of the circle inscribed in a square of sides 24cm is 144π cm^2.
