Given,

the circumference of the circle = 132 cm.

To Find,

the area of the circle.

Solution,

the circumference of the circle =2 x π x r

                                            132 = 2 x \frac{22}{7} x r

                                             \frac{132}{2} = \frac{22}{7} x r

                                               \frac{66}{22} = \frac{1}{7} (r)

                                          3 x 7 =r

                                               21=r

So, the radius of the circle is 21 cm.

now,

area of the circle = π r^{2}

                            = \frac{22}{7}×21×21

                            =1386 cm^{2}

Hence the area of the circle is 1386 cm^{2} .
