Find the area of a circle whose circumference is 154cm

Answer:

Circumference of the circle=154 cm

2πr=154

2r=154/(1/π) =(154/22)*7=7*7=49

r=49/2

Therefore, radius of the circle=49/2 cm(I have not make it 24.5 to make the calculation easier)

Area of the circle=πr²

=22/7*(49/2) ²

=(22/7)*(2401/4) cm²

=(22*2401)/(7*4) cm²

=(52822/28) cm²

=1886.5 cm² (Ans)
