as we know that circumference of a circle =2 pi r...
then 2pi r=220 m
2 ×22/7 r = 220
r = 35 m
therefore area of circle =pi r^2
= 22/7 × 35 ×35 = 3850 m^2

Hey There! ☺

Nice Question! ♥

Here is your answer...

========================================

For a circle,

Circumference = 2πr
Area = πr²

where r is radius of the circle & pi (
π) = 22/7.

Given, Circumference = 220m

⇒ 220 = 2
πr
i.e, r = 220/2(22/7) = 5 x 7 = 35m
[by cancelling 220 with with 44]

Now, Area =
πr² = (22 x 35 x 35)/7 = 3850 m²

Therefore, 3850m² is the area of the circle.
