Let the side of square = x^2

Side of bigger square = (x+20)^2

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Equation formed :

(x+20)^2 - x^2 = 2000

=> x^2 + 400 + 40x - x^2 = 2000

=> 40x = 1600

=> x = 40 cm

Area = 40^2

=> 1600 cm^2
