Find the area of a parralellogram ABCD whose base BC is 27 CM and altitude AE is 8cm. If the length of the altitude AF to the base CD is 12 CM. find CD.

We know that area of //gm = b×h.

So,
Ar. ABCD = 27 × 8 = 216 cm^2......... (ANS 1)

NOW,

Ar. ABCD = 12 × CM

=> 216 = 12 × CM

=> 216/ 12 = CM

= > CM = 18 cm. ..........(ANS 2)
