Question:-

Find the area of a path 2.5 m wide surrounding a rectangular lawn of length 42m and breadth 34m

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 42 × 34

=> Area of rectangle = 1428 m²

=> X = 1428 m²

we know that length and breadth increase by 2.5 m from their both

ends.

so,

=> L = 42 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 47 m.

=> B = 34 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 39 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 47 × 39

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 1833 m²

=> Z = 1833 m²

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 1833 - 1428

=> Area of path = 405 m²

Area of path 405 m².
