Find the area of quadrant of a circle whose circumference is 22cm?

We can use the circumference to find the radius. Then use that to find the area of the circle. Then divide by 4 to get the ares of the quadrant.

C= 2 pi r

22 = 2 pi r

r = 11/pi

Area = pi r^2

Area = pi (11/pi)^2

Area = pi (121/pi^2)

Area = 121/pi

Using 22/7 for pi

Area = 847/22 = 38.5 sq cm

Quadrant area equals 38.5/4

Which is 9.625 sq cm
