therefore we know that the area of a trapizium is ...

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times h \times (a + b) \:  \:  \\ where \: a \: and \: b \: are \: the \: length \: of \: the \: parallel \: sides \\ therefore \: area \: of \: the \: trapizium........ \\\: =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 24 \times (25 + 32) \: cm {}^{2}  \\  = 12 \times 57 \\  = 684 \: cm {}^{2}
