Find the area of a quadrilateral PQRS whos diagonal SQ = 12cm , and lengths of perpendicular from opposite vertices P and R are PL = 2.6 cm and RM = 8.4 cm .

PL= 2.6 cm

RM= 8.4 cm

Area of a quadrilateral PQRS = Area of PSQ+Area of RQS.

= ½×SQ×RM+½×SQ×PL

= ½×SQ(RM+PL)

= ½×12(8.4+2.6)

= ½×12(11)

= ½×12×11

= 6×11

= 66 cm²
