Find the area of a quadrilateral whose diagonal is 24m and perpendicular heights to the diagonal are 11m and 13m.

Solution:

Diagonal = 24m

Heights, h1 = 11m & h2 = 13m

Sum of heights of the triangles

=h1 + h2 = 11 + 13 =24m

Thus, area of quadrilateral

= ½ × diagonal ( sum of height of two triangle)

=( 24*24 )/2 = 288m²
