Step-by-step explanation:

coordinate

A:( -4 -1). B:( -2 -4) C:( 4 0) D: ( 2 3) are given

AB= √( -4+1)²+(-2+4)²= √13

BC= √ ( 0+4)²+(4+2)²= 2√13

CD= √ ( 3-0)²+(2-4)²= √13

DA= √(-1-3)²+(-4-2)²= 2√13

Digonal AC= √( 0+1)²+(4+4)²= √65

Digonal BD= √(3+4)²+(2+2)²= √65

therefore this quadrilateral is a ractangle

AREA= length×breadth

= 213×13=26 square unit
