Answer :–

  • Area of the rectangular park is 161.2  {m}^{2}

Given :–

  • Length of the rectangular park = 18  \frac{3}{5}
  • Breadth of the rectangular park = 8  \frac{2}{3}

To Find :–

  • Area of a rectangular park.

Formula Applied :–

  • Length × Breadth

Solution :–

First, we have to convert mixed fraction as a normal fraction.

So,

→ 18  \frac{3}{5}

For converting,

Multiply the denominator by 18 and add the numerator on the multiplication and the denominator remains same.

→ 18 × 5

→ 90

Add the denominator (3)

→ 90 + 3

→ 93

So, the length of the rectangular park = \frac{93}{5} m

Now, again we have to convert mixed fraction as a normal fraction.

For converting,

Multiply the denominator by 8 and add the numerator on the multiplication and the denominator remains same.

→ 8 × 3

→ 24

Add the denominator (2)

→ 24 + 2

→ 26

So, the length of the rectangular park = \frac{26}{3} m

Now, we have to find the area of the rectangular park = Length × Breadth

 \frac{\cancel{93}}{5} \times \frac{26}{\cancel3}

 \frac{31}{5} \times \frac{26}{1}

So,

 \frac{31 \times 26}{5}

 \frac{806}{5}

→ 161.2

Hence,

The area of the rectangular park is 161.2  {m}^{2}
