Answer:given, length=(2x+7)unit

breath=(x-5) unit so, area of rectangle=length*breath

area =(2x+7) *(x-5)

=2x2-10x+7x-35

=2x(x-5) +7(x-5)

=(2x+7) (x-5)

=2x+7=0

=2x =-7

=x=-7/2 it is less than 0 so it's not possible

=x-5=0 it is possible

=x=5 now,

length=2x+7=2*5+7=17

breath=x-5=5-5=0

hence, area=l*b =17*0=0 is right answer

I hope it is helpful for you...
