let the breadth be 'x'cm

then length will be '2x'cm

perimeter of rectangle is 30 cm

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

30=2(2x+x)

30=2(3x)

30=6x

30/6=x

x=5 cm

therefore,

length is 2x=2x5=10cm

area of rectangle=(l x b)

=(10x5)

=50 sq.cm
