Given :–

  • Length of a rectangular park =  18 \dfrac{3}{5}  m long.
  • Breadth of a rectangular park =  4 \dfrac{2}{3} m broad.

To Find :–

  • The area of a rectangular park.

Solution :–

We know that,

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

The length and the breadth is given in the form of mixed fraction.

So,

We need to convert mixed fraction into normal fraction.

For converting, the whole number (The front number, 18 and 4) is multiply by the denominator (5 and 3) and the result we get after multiplying we add the numerator (3 and 2) in the result and the denominator is remains same.

So,

The length of a rectangular park = \dfrac{93}{5} m long.

The breadth of a rectangular park = \dfrac{14}{3} m broad.

Now, we have to find the area of a rectangular park.

 \mapsto \dfrac{ \cancel{93}}{5}   \: m\times  \dfrac{14}{ \cancel3}  \: m

 \mapsto \dfrac{ 31}{5}  \times  {14} \:  {m}^{2}

 \mapsto \dfrac{31 \times 14}{5}   \: {m}^{2}

 \mapsto \dfrac{434}{5}  \:  {m}^{2}

In mixed fraction :–

 \mapsto 86 \dfrac{4}{5}  \:  {m}^{2}

Hence,

The area of a rectangular park is  86 \dfrac{4}{5} \: {m}^{2}
