find the area of a rectangular park whose one side is 15 cm and its diagonal is 30 cm.

According to Pythagoras theorem:-

 {d}^{2}  =  {l}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}

 {30}^{2}  =  {15}^{2}  +  {l}^{2}

900 = 225 +  {l}^{2}

 {l}^{2}  = 900 - 225

 {b}^{2}  = 675

 l =  \sqrt{675}

l=25.9807621135

l=25.98cm

Now,

Since

Area=l×b

=25.98cm×15cm

 = 389.70cm^2

OR:-

l=26cm(approx)

b=15cm

Area=l×b

=26cm×15cm

 = 390cm^2
