find the area of a rectangular plot, one side of which measures 70 m and the diagonal is 74 m

Given
One side =70m=AB
Diagonal =74m

Is triangle abc

Using PGPT

AB²+BC²=AC²

70²+BC²=74²

BC²=5476-4900=576

bc =  \sqrt{576}
BC=24m

Now we have

L=70M
B=24M

area of rectangle =lxb

=70x24=1680m²

AC^2= BC^2+AB^2
BC^2=74^2-70^2
BC^2=5476-4900
BC=24
Therefore, the breadth is 24m.
