Answer:

We Know that in a regular hexagon , there are six equilateral triangle of identical to each other.

        ar[hexagon] = 6 * ar[equilateral triangle]

   => ar [hexagon] = 6 * (√3/4  * a² )       { ar[equilateral ] = √3/4  * a²  }

   => ar [hexagon] = 3√3/2 * (5)²

   => ar [hexagon] = 2.598 * 25 = 64.950 cm² (Ans.)

Step-by-step explanation:

given3 \sqrt{}  = 1.732 \\ given \: one \: side = 5cm \\ area \: of \: hexagon = 3 \sqrt{ \frac{3}{2} }  \times  {a}^{2} \\  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 3 \sqrt{ \frac{3}{2} }  \times 5 \times 5 \ \\  = 3 \sqrt{ \frac{3}{2} }  \times 25 \\  =  3(1.732) \times 25 \\  = 5.196 \times 25 \\
