Area of trapezium ABCH =Area of trapezium GDEF

Area of a trapezium= 1/2 (a+b )h

= 1/2 (5+11)4 = 32 cm²

So Area of trapezium GDEF=32 cm²

Area of rectangle MCDG=l×b=11×5=58 cm ²

Area of Octagon = Area of two trapezium + Area of rectangle

= 22×32+55

=64+55=119 cm²
