find the area of a rhombus having each side equal to 15 cm and one of whose diagonal is 24cm.​

Side of rhombus=15 cm
in rhombus ABCD,
diagonals AC and BD meet a point O
Triangle OAB is right angled at o
in this Hypotenuse=15 cm
one of the side = 1/2 of diagonal having length 24 cm
=12 cm
By using pythagoras theorem,
other side=√(15²-12²)
=9
other diagonal=18
area of rhombus=(1/2)×d₁×d₂
=(1/2)×18×24
=216 cm²
