hello frnd!

here's ur answer...

→given side of the rhombus is 2dm.

we know that 1dm is 10cm therefore 2dm=2×10

=20cm

→height of the rhombus=12.6cm

there are two formulas for finding area of rhombus. one is 1/2×d1×d2.

in this formula both diagonals are given.

but in this question base and height are given.

so we will use the second formula.

which is base×height.

it is used because rhombus is like a parallelogram and area of parallelogram is base×height.

so it is also used.

the side of the rhombus is the base for finding the area.

therefore 20cm is the base for finding the area.

hence area of the rhombus=base×height

=20×12.6

=252cm²

in decimetres=252/10

=25.2dm²

final answer is 25.2dm² or 252cm²

hope this helps u...

Area of rhombus = b×h
= 20×12.6=252cm^2
[1dm=10cm]
