find the area of a rhombus in which each side is equal to 15cm and one of whose diagonals is 24cm.

you get two triangles of same areas
find area of only one triangle
sides are 15,15 and 24
find using herons formula
s= (15+15+24)/2 =27
area= root(27×12×12×3)
area =3×12×3
area =108 cm^2
area of rhombus = sum of areas of both triangles since both areas are equal
area of rhombus =2×108
area of rhombus = 216 cm^2
