ANSWER:

  • Area of rhombus = 60cm²

GIVEN:

  • First diagonal = 12cm
  • Second diagonal = 10cm

TO FIND:

  • Area of rhombus

SOLUTION:

FORMULA:

  • Area of rhombus = ( product of diagonals)/2

Here ;

  • Product of diagonals = 12 * 10 cm²

Putting the values in the formula. We get;

=> Area of rhombus = (12* 10)/2

=> Area of rhombus = 60 cm²

NOTE:

some important formulas:

  • Area of rhombus = Base * Altitude
  • Area of rhombus = (product of diagonals)/2
  • Area of parallelogram = Base * Altitude
  • Area of square = (Side)²
