Find the area of a rhombus whose side is 8cm and altitude is 4cm. If length of one diagonal is 8cm, find the length of the other diagonal.​

side of rhombus = 8 cm

altitude of rhombus= 4 cm

area of rhombus= a× s

= 8× 4

= 32 cm ²

diagonal 1 of rhombus= 8cm

area of rhombus = 32cm²

1/2× D1 × D2 = 32cm²

1/2 × 8 × D2 = 32cm² ( cut 8 with 2)

4× D2 = 32cm ²

D2 = 32/4

D2 = 8 cm

you can also write that both diagonals of rhombus are equal , so D2 = 8 cm
