Are of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height
Hypotenuse ^2 = base ^2 + side ^2
13^2 = base^2 + 5^2
Base^2 = 169-25
Base ^2 = 144
Base = 12 cm

Now , area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height
Area = 1/2 × 12 × 5
Area = 30 cm^2

H^2=P^2+B^2 (by Pythagoras)

(13)^2=(5)^2+B^2

169=25+B^2

169-25=B^2

144=B^2

√144=B

B=12

Now, area of right triangle=1/2B*H

1/2*12*5
