Hypotenuse =10cm
Base =8cm
Height =?

Let height be x cm.

According to Pythagoras theorm,

(Hyp)^2=(base)^2+(height)^2
(10)^2=(8)^2+(x)^2
100=64+x^2
100-64=(x)^2
36=(x)^2
(6)^2=(x)^2
6=x

Thus,
Height is 6 cm.

Area of triangle =1/2×base×height =1/2×8×6 =4×6 =24cm^2

Thus,
Area of triangle is 24 cm^2
