Given:-

  • Hypotenuse of a right angled triangle is 25 cm.
  • Altitude of a right angled triangle is 24 cm.

To find:-

  • Area of a right angled triangle.

Solution:-

Here,

  • Hypotenuse = 25 cm
  • Altitude = 24 cm

Let,

  • the base of a right triangle be x cm.

Firstly,

  • we have to find out the base of a right angled triangle.

According to the question

⇛ Base² + Altitude ² = Hypotenuse ²

⇛ x² + 24² = 25²

⇛ x² = 25² - 24²

⇛ x² = 625 - 576

⇛ x² = 49

x = 7

Now,

  • finding the area of a right triangle.

Formula used:-

Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

⇛ ½ × b × h

⇛ ½ × 7 × 24 cm²

⇛ 7×12 cm²

84 cm²

Hence,

  • the area of a right angled triangle is 84 cm².
