Solution :-

We know that :

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{Area\ of\ right\ angle\ triangle = 1/2 \times base \times height (perpendicular)}}}

&

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{According\ to\ Pythagoras\ theorem\ : \:\:H² = P² + B²}}}

Here,

Base (B) = 24 cm

Hypotenuse (H) = 25 cm

Now,

According to Pythagoras theorem....

\small\sf\red{P² = H² - B²}

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{P = \sqrt{(H² - B²)}}}}

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{P = \sqrt{(25² - 24² )}}}}

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{P = \sqrt{(625 - 576)}}}}

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{ P = \sqrt{49}}}}

\large\red{\boxed{\sf{Perpendicular = 7 cm}}}

Now,

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{Area = 1/2 \times B \times P}}}

\small\red{\boxed{\sf{= 1/2 \times 24 \times 7}}}

Answer:

84^2

Step-by-step explanation:

area of triangle = 1/2 × b× h

but here we only have base = 24

and hypotenuse= 25

so we have to find height through Pythagoras theorem

= (base)^2 + (height)^2 = (hypotenuse)^2

= 24^2 + height^2 = 25^2

= 576 +height^2 = 625

= height^2 = 625-576 = 49

= height= √49 = 7

therefore, height = 7

so area = 1/2 ×b×h = 1/2 × 24×7 = 12×7 = 84^2
