Find the area of a right triangle whose hypotenuse is 26 cm long and one of the sides containing the Right ange measures 10 cm .

Answer:

hypotenuse = 26

side 1 = 10

side 2= ?

(hypotenuse)2= (Side 1)2 + (Side2)2

(26×26)=(10×10) + (x × x)

676 = 100 + x×x

x×x = 676 - 100

x×x = 576

x = 24
