It is given that the angle of the sector is 60°

We know that the area of sector = (θ/360°)×πr2

∴ Area of the sector with angle 60° = (60°/360°)×πr2 cm2

= (36/6)π cm2

= 6×22/7 cm2 = 132/7 cm2

\sf\underbrace{ Question: }

  • Find the area of a sector of a circle with radius 6 cm if angle of the sector is 60°.??

\sf\underline{ Given : }

  • Radius = r = 6 cm
  • & Angle of the sector = θ = 60°

\sf\underline{ To\: Find : }

  • We have to find the area of the sector.

\sf\underline{ Solution : }

We know that

We know the formula to find the area of the sector.

\sf{Area\:of\: sector\:of\: circle = \dfrac{\theta}{360^{\circ}} × \pi r^2}

ㅤㅤㅤ⟹\sf\dfrac{60}{360}×\sf\dfrac{22}{7}×\sf{\:(6)²}

ㅤㅤㅤ⟹\sf\dfrac{1}{6}×\sf\dfrac{22}{7} × \sf{36}

ㅤㅤㅤ⟹\sf\dfrac{6 × 22}{7}

ㅤㅤㅤ⟹= \sf\dfrac{132}{7}\sf{cm²}

Therefore, the area of the sector of the circle making 60° at the centre of the circle is\sf\dfrac{132}{7} cm²
