GIVEN :

  • Radius = 6 cm.
  • Angle of the sector, \theta = 60°.

TO FIND :

  • The area of a sector = ?

FORMULA USED :

  • Area of sector = \sf \dfrac {\theta}{360^{\circ}} \ \times {\pi r^{2}}

SOLUTION :

Given in the question that,

Radius is 6 cm and area of a sector is 60°.

To find the area of a sector = ?

We know that,

\qquad \large \red {\boxed {\sf \dfrac {\theta}{360^{\circ}} \ \times {\pi r^{2}}}}

\implies \sf \dfrac {60^{\circ}}{360^{\circ}} \times \dfrac {22}{7} \times 6 \times 6

\implies \sf 18.85 \ cm^{2}

\qquad \large {\boxed {\sf Area \ of \ sector \ = \ 18.85 \ cm^{2}}}

•°• The area of a sector = 18.85 cm².
