Answer:

219.9

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of sector = length of arc + (2×radius)

radius =\frac{64-44}{2}

= \frac{20}{2}

=10

length of arc = \frac{angle}{360} * 2πr

angle = 252

area =  \frac{252}{360} * πr^{2}

= 70\pi

=219.9

Given : a sector  perimeter is 64 cm and length of the arc is 44 cm.

To find : area of a sector

Solution:

Perimeter of arc = radius + length of arc + radius

=> 64 = r + 44 + r

=> 2r = 20

=> r = 10

Sector angle = α

arc length = (α/360)2πr

=> 44 = (α/360)2πr

=> (α/360) = 44 / 2πr

area of a sector   =  (α/360)πr²

= (44 / 2πr)πr²

= 22r

= 22 * 10

= 220 cm²
