Given :-

Perimeter of the square = 96 cm

To Find :-

The area of the square

Solution :-

We know that,

Perimeter of a square = 4 × side

On inserting the values in the formula

We get ,

96 cm = 4 × side

\implies\: side\: =\: {\bold{\dfrac{96}{4}}}

=> side = 24

Therefore, measure of a side of the given square is 24 cm

Area of a square = side²

On inserting the values in the formula

We get ,

Area of the square = (24 cm)²

= 24 cm × 24 cm

= 576 cm²

Therefore, area of the given square is 576 cm²

Answer:

 \huge \sf \: given

  • Perimeter of square park - 96 cm

 \huge \sf \: to \: find

Its area

 \huge \sf \: solution

 \small \fbox {firstly \: lets \: understand \: the \: concept}

 \sf \: there \: is \: a \: park \: in \: square \: park \: in \:   \\  \sf \: which \: its \: perimeter \: is \: given \: and \: to \ \:  \\ \sf \: find \: its \: area.

 \sf \: So, first \:  we \:  have \:  \\  \sf to  \: find  \: the \:  side \:  of  \: square

  \huge \bf \: side \:  =  \frac{perimeter}{4}

 \huge \bf \: side \:  =  \frac{96}{4}

 \huge \bf \: side \:  = 24 \: cm

 \small \fbox {now \: finding \: its \: area}

 \huge \bf \: area  = s \times s

 \huge \bf \: area \:  = 24 \times 24

 \huge \bf \: area \:  =  {576 \: cm}^{2}

 \huge \fbox {option \: (a)}
