Question:-

  • Find the area of a square which has the same perimeter as a rectangle whose length is 48m and is 3 times it's breadth?

To Find:-

  • Find the area of square.

Solution:-

Given ,

  • Length is 48 m

  • Breadth is 48/3 = 16 m

First ,

We have to find the perimeter of rectangle:-

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter = 2( l + b )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter = 2( 48 + 16 )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter = 2( 64 )

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Perimeter = 128

  • Length of each side is 128/4 = 32 m

Now ,

We have to find the area of square:-

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Area = { Side }^{ 2 }

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Area = { 32 }^{ 2 }

\dashrightarrow\sf \: Area = 1024 \: { m }^{ 3 }

Hence ,

  • Area of square is 1024 m³
